German wine aficionados need no introduction to Dr Bürklin-Wolf's extraordinary winery! With over 30 hectares of classified Burgundy-style vineyards it is certainly one of Germany's largest, but more importantly it is one of the finest. The Dr Bürklin-Wolf Rieslings enjoy highest international recognition – even the most ardent competition acknowledges that their Grosse Gewächse such as the Ruppertsberger Gaisböhl is without doubt a ‘dream wine’ (Dirk Würtz).
Here’s an unmissable opportunity to find out for yourself: For our wine evening on 18 October Bettina Bürklin-von Guradze plans to bring a sumptuous selection of her 2005 Rieslings - grown to biodynamic principles and oozing with terroir character. Discover grapes with pugnacious names such as Forster Ungeheuer i.e.Forster Monster or Wachenheimer Gerümpel i.e.Wachenheimer Debris - be bowled over by their elegant acidity and delicate structure.
And now for the best part: It will be a vertical sampling! Every course of our Master Chef's early autumn cuisine from our QUADRIGA restaurant is paired with the yellow-gold gleam of young and mature vintages, showing the fabulous potential of German Rieslings.
