DISCOVER A HORTICULTURAL GEM

The newly created formal manor house garden will fascinate you with its perfectly structured colours and form: the imposing lawn parterre has ancient trees and a water feature at the centre, surrounded by hedges full of fragrant herbs, countess shrubs and cutting flowers. In the spring the copious daffodil fields blossom; in the summer, the luscious roses including some old English varieties, and the overwhelming colours of nature will delight you even far into October – it’s not surprising that the Margravian Garden of Manor house Klessen has been designated an official external location for the State Garden Show Havel Region (Bundesgartenschau Havelregion) in the year 2015.

White garden benches and small pavilions invite you to linger for a while. In the old orchard you can follow paths leading through the blossoming summer meadows. The orangery and its country pergola provide traces of southern flair. In the linden avenue you can play croquet and boules, while in the English park, stretching beyond the garden, you will find ancient woods and Lake Klessen, where you can stroll around, sunbathe and swim… the water is crystal clear.
